Moderation
Market Rooms uses user controls, automated holds, moderator review, and audit logs to keep high-velocity public rooms usable.
Users can report messages and mute or block other users. Blocks and mutes affect the viewer experience, while reports create moderation records for review.
Automated moderation may hold messages with suspicious links, scam phrases, impersonation claims, repeated content, mass mentions, excessive caps, or abusive posting velocity. New accounts may face stricter link and rate limits.
Moderators and admins can update report status, inspect report context, remove messages, timeout users, ban or unban accounts, adjust reputation, reverse supported actions, and leave notes. Moderator actions are recorded in audit logs.
Reputation is an abuse-control signal, not a claim of financial credibility. It may affect posting limits, link permissions, image permissions, and eligibility for future community-moderation features.
Moderators can reverse supported actions when a decision was made in error or when additional context changes the outcome. Appeals and abuse reports can be sent to [email protected].
Anyone can use the dedicated DSA notice-and-action centre without signing in. It collects the exact location, alleged legal basis, supporting facts, contact details, and good-faith declaration. We acknowledge notices, communicate reasoned outcomes, and provide a free electronic appeal. Final decisions are supervised by trained staff and are not made solely by automated means.
